Gitit Shoval is an Israeli-American singer/songwriter of the Ancestral-Pop genre. Her bilingual "healing" based music sits at the intersection of the like qualities of Beyonce', the alternative/avant-garde worldliness of Bjork, and the voice quality and singing finesse of Barbra Streisand.
5 5 5 Is a unique, one of a kind Live Streamed event.
Celebrating her fifth decade in the music industry as a performer and singer-songwriter, Gitit is working on a new EP. The Ep will include five new and original songs. The recording will take five days, hens the name 5 5 5. Five decades, five songs, five days. 555 also spells Hamsa, a universal sign of protection. Each new piece evolves around a sentence from Psalms in Hebrew, which Gitit built a new fresh concept in English around it. Recording an album and Live-streaming the entire process is very rarely done. The live streaming adds complexity to the production, but Gitit insisted she would like her fans to be close to her in this milestone of celebration and creation. “5 5 5 will be the first time I will be allowing myself to really open up, be vulnerable while everyone is watching. I will need to bring my full creativity under immense pressure, and still be my best. Wow! It is going to be a unique and inspiring experience. It will be the most exposed position I have ever put myself in. Am I scared? Sure. Do I have second thoughts? No! Am I excited? Oh Yes! Producing an album live in five days only, is an incredibly challenging feat. A challenge that I am so excited to take upon myself and share with you.”
